PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our customer is a global leader in the domain of clearing, offering access to a wide range of listed instruments on markets across the globe.

IT is at the heart of their organization with more than 30 different product teams and 10 different platform teams that are trying to build the best products & services for their customers.

Their presence in important financial centers like Amsterdam, Chicago, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Sao Paulo, and Frankfurt, allows them to effectively serve clients worldwide and maintain proximity to their diverse customer base.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

• Maintenance of the application running on Openshift / SpringBoot
• Ensure application stability and optimal performance, as performance is crucial
• Enhance monitoring and alerting via Splunk
• Enhance the application with new functionalities
• Participate in the continuous improvements and implementation of best practices.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Java Engineer
• Solid experience and understanding of SpringBoot
• Solid experience and understanding of OpenShift/Kubernetes
• Solid experience with SQL Queries
• Experience with migrating applications to an OpenShift Container Platform
• Experience with integration tools, I.e. Kafka, WebMethods
• Experience with creating Docker containers

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with Splunk
• Knowledge of setting up and configuring CI/CD pipelines in a Microservices architecture landscape
• A demonstrated record of achievement in large technical (migration) projects
• Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
• Ability to keep up with software and cloud development trends and innovation

SOFT SKILLS:

• Strong engineering instinct (do the right thing), a deep understanding of computer science
  
• Fluent English, with good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and assertive communication skills, great team member
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Desire to continuously learn and improve in a complex, rapidly evolving environment
• Flexible and adaptive working attitude
