THE ROLE INVOLVES:
The Clearing Data Platform is the core of our partner’s data infrastructure, integrating data from multiple sources into a centralized data lake.
To ensure its efficiency, security, and scalability, we are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to optimize software development and deployment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and system monitoring to support this critical platform and its growing analytical and reporting needs.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy AWS services like EC2, S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, MWAA or Redshift.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or Gitlab.
- Automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning to ensure efficient software delivery.
- Write scripts for automation and orchestration in Python/Bash.
- Set up monitoring and logging using AWS CloudWatch, or any other AWS services.
- Ensure security best practices by implementing AWS IAM policies, lake formation, security groups, and compliance standards.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, patch management, and incident response.
TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in AWS DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, or Redshift.
- Strong knowledge of CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Experience with AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation.
- Experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g. MySQL).
- Expertise in Git and Git workflows.
- Familiarity with CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM and compliance standards.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Solutions Architect, or AWS SysOps Administrator.
- Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).
- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Experience with Docker, and ECS/Fargate or OpenShift.
- Experience with technologies such as Confluent, Splunk, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, HVR is a plus.
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.
- A demonstrated record of achievement in large technical (migration) projects.
- Ability to keep up with software and cloud development trends and innovation.
- Understanding of financial services and risk management in general.
- University degree in Computer Science/Engineering.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive can-do mindset.
- Willing to participate in various activities that all team members do, like our daily monitoring activities, incident handling and even hosting some of our scrum sessions.
- Strong engineering instinct (do the right thing), a deep understanding of computer science.
- Desire to continuously learn and improve in a complex, rapidly evolving environment.
