THE ROLE INVOLVES:

We're seeking for an Experienced Test Engineer within our customer’s Client Reporting team, someone able to help them with ensuring that their current and future reports contain the correct data.

Part of the job would be to write scripts to compare current reports with newer versions and discover potential differences.

As ABN AMRO Clearing, our customer, is still developing its test strategy and test management tooling, we expect you to be able to help them on this journey by giving advice on how to automate the scripts you're creating. An ideal moment to join the company on this journey!

You are an all-round IT engineer skilled in applications, interfaces, configurations, and SQL. 

You set up test environments, reverse engineer system flows, and translate functional requirements into test plans. 

You’re detail-oriented, persistent, and capable of clear documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop test approaches, write functional test cases, and perform the automated testing.
• Conduct system tests to verify database contents and reports accuracy.
• Perform reverse engineering to test applications; define test strategies, execute tests, and document results.
• Participate in a 24/7 standby rotation for reporting batches (approximately once every four weeks).
• Create and maintain automated tests using Cypress.
• Coordinate, prepare, execute, and document performance tests, penetration tests, and disaster recovery tests.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• 5+ years of relevant experience as an Automation Test Engineer.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with either TypeScript, Python or Java.
• Experience in automating existing and/or new test scripts in Cypress.
• Experience in using version management / repository tools like Git.
• Experience in using SQL (querying databases etc.).
• Broad experience in disaster recovery testing / performance testing.
• Experience in creating automated tests for screens using tools like Selenium (nice to have, willingness to learn is appreciated).

NICE TO HAVE: 

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Awareness of critical Agile concepts and principles.
• A demonstrated record of achievement in large technical (migration) projects.
• Ability to keep up with software and cloud development trends and innovation.
• Understanding of financial services and risk management in general.
• Relevant Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree.

• Fluent English, with good written and verbal communication skills.
