Our partner, ABN AMRO Clearing, is a global leader in the domain of clearing, offering access to a wide range of listed instruments on markets across the globe.

IT is at the heart of their organization with more than 30 different product teams and 10 different platform teams that are trying to build the best products & services for their customers.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge Finance applications. You will play a key role in building reliable, high-performance solutions that drive our business forward.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions for Finance applications.
• Maintain and enhance existing Python-based systems.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide expert technical insights.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot software issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and other team activities.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply innovative practices to improve our solutions.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python.
• Frameworks & Libraries: Strong knowledge of frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, NumPy or Pandas.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
• Databases: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Testing: Solid understanding of unit testing and test automation practices.
• APIs: Proven experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Messaging Systems: Familiarity with Kafka.
• Containerization: Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes is a strong plus.

NICE TO HAVE: 

• Working knowledge of JavaScript.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in large-scale (migration) projects or complex technical initiatives.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of financial services, risk management, or related domains.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field.

• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong engineering instincts and a solid understanding of computer science principles.
• Collaborative team player with clear, assertive communication.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
