THE ROLE INVOLVES:

As a Middleware WebMethods Platform Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert for the WebMethods Integration Server/Broker production support platform.

You will act as the administrator of WebMethods IS/Broker and work alongside product development teams across different regions to support and enhance the WebMethods platform.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the production support of the WebMethods Integration Server/Broker platform across all non-production and production environments.

• Act as the SME, providing technical guidance to development teams using the platform, including coding and configuration-related advice.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production issues as part of daily operational support.

• Plan, coordinate, and implement the installation of fixes and patches for WebMethods products provided by IBM.

• As a Subject Matter Expert, manage the WebMethods lifecycle to ensure the platform runs on a stable and supported version, including upgrades, migrations between operating systems when required, support for different database solutions, and execution of deployments via CrossVista.

• Provide support for other IT middleware solutions involving WebMethods and messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, MQ).

• Work alongside architecture and other GRID development teams to define the strategy for WebMethods and enterprise messaging solutions used within the partner's environments.

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Middleware Platform Engineer working with WebMethods.

• Proven experience working with Red Hat Linux operating systems.

• 2+ years of experience supporting developers adopting and utilizing WebMethods solutions.

• Strong knowledge of messaging standards and tools, particularly JMS.

• 2+ years of experience working with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.

• Good Java and/or Linux shell scripting skills.

• Experience using and supporting CrossVista.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with Kafka, HTML, MQ Series, and file transfer solutions.

• Understanding of WebMethods licensing models.

• Experience using code repository platforms such as Bitbucket or GitLab.

• Understanding of financial services, clearing, and risk management domains.

• Relevant university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
