Our partner, ABN AMRO Clearing, is a global leader in the domain of clearing, offering access to a wide range of listed instruments on markets across the globe.
IT is at the heart of their organization with more than 30 different product teams and 10 different platform teams that are trying to build the best products & services for their customers.
Their presence in important financial centers like Amsterdam, Chicago, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo Hong Kong, London, Sao Paulo, Frankfurt and Iasi, allows them to effectively serve clients worldwide and maintain close proximity to their diverse customer base.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
We are looking for a UX Designer / Researcher to support the evolution of our partner's global Client Portal.
In this role, you will focus on the Client Portal, a key product used daily by over 400 corporate clients worldwide to manage payment instructions, settlement instructions, and other critical workflows. You will play a central role in shaping intuitive, user-friendly experiences that align with both user needs and business goals.
This assignment is focused on completing the ongoing transition from the current portal design to a new, improved design. You will build on the work already started and help bring the new design to completion with a practical, hands-on approach.
Responsibilities:
Continue and finalize the transition of the Client Portal from the existing design to the new design.
Conduct UX research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
Translate research insights into practical, user-friendly design solutions.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs for the portal.
Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure designs are feasible and correctly implemented.
Work with stakeholders across business and technology to align on priorities and design decisions.
Take a proactive role in identifying improvements and driving UX initiatives forward.
Ensure consistency and usability across the platform.
Document design decisions, patterns, and outcomes to ensure maintainability and team ownership.
TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:
5+ years of proven experience as a UX Designer / Researcher, preferably in financial services or a similar domain
Strong understanding of the end-to-end UX process: discovery, user research, prototyping, usability testing, iteration
Strong understanding of UX research methods and design principles
3+ years of working experience with Figma - advanced usage: components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, developer handoff
3+ years of experience with Design Systems - creating, maintaining, and scaling reusable design systems; working with tokens, accessibility, and consistency
Familiarity with frontend development (e.g., understanding of Angular/TypeScript) and proven experience collaborating with Frontend Developers - ability to work closely with engineers in Angular (or other), understand component structures and constraints
Good technical understanding (HTML/CSS/JS basics) - can translate designs into feasible implementations; understands responsive design, performance, and accessibility implications
Experience working in agile teams, writing specs, communicating with engineering, and ensuring design fidelity in implementation
NICE TO HAVE:
Programming experience (Angular/ TypeScript) - can prototype or contribute small UI features; understands code structure
UX Research Specialization - deep experience in qualitative/quantitative research methods, analytics tools, A/B testing
Accessibility focused design knowledge (WCAG)
Design Ops/ Tooling - experience with design system governance, versioning, documentation
Experience working on design transitions or redesign projects is a strong plus
Understanding of complex systems and data-driven environment

Practical, hands-on mindset with a focus on delivering usable solutions
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Proactive attitude with the ability to drive work independently
